Your email address will not intentionally be displayed publicly through normal operation of the Service.
Because public content may be indexed and copied by others, you should not submit information you wish to remain private. Hyume cannot guarantee removal of content from third-party search engines, archives, or websites.
6. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROCESSING
Hyume uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to operate and improve the Service. User information may be processed by:
- Large language models
- Machine-learning systems
- Classification systems
- Recommendation systems
- Scoring systems
- Benchmarking systems
- Analytical models
We may use both proprietary systems and third-party providers. Examples of AI-related processing include generating creativity assessments, evaluating responses, producing rankings, identifying trends, improving user experiences, moderating content, and developing future products.
7. MODEL TRAINING AND ALGORITHMIC IMPROVEMENT
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hyume may use user content, voting activity, ranking activity, behavioral information, metadata, and engagement information to improve algorithms, validate systems, develop new products, and create benchmark datasets.
Such use may continue after account deletion, subject to applicable law.
8. RESEARCH, ANALYTICS, AND BENCHMARKING
Hyume may use information to create benchmark reports, trend analyses, research publications, statistical summaries, commercial analytics products, and educational materials. We may publish findings derived from user activity, including aggregate creativity trends, benchmark comparisons, research findings, and population-level statistics.
Unless separately authorized, Hyume will not intentionally publish an individual user's legal name in connection with research findings.

12. INSTITUTIONAL CUSTOMERS AND USER CONSENT
Certain features may involve employers, recruiters, universities, scholarship programs, educational institutions, or other organizations ("Institutional Customers"). Institutional Customers do not automatically receive access to identifiable user information.
Hyume may disclose identifiable information, responses, rankings, scores, assessments, or profile information to an Institutional Customer only when the user affirmatively authorizes such disclosure.
Once information has been disclosed pursuant to user authorization, Hyume may not be able to retrieve or delete information already received by the Institutional Customer.
13. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, local storage technologies, and similar tracking technologies for purposes including authentication, security, performance measurement, analytics, personalization, and product improvement.
Users may manage cookies through browser settings, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
14. DATA RETENTION
Hyume retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, protect users, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, conduct research, improve products, maintain benchmark datasets, and train AI systems. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information.
15. ACCOUNT DELETION
Users may request deletion of their accounts. However, account deletion does not necessarily require deletion of:
- Public responses;
- Research datasets;
- Benchmark datasets;
- Algorithm training data;
- Aggregated information;
- Historical rankings;
- Derived analytics;
- Information already incorporated into products or research.
Certain information may be retained as permitted by law.
16. DE-IDENTIFIED AND AGGREGATED INFORMATION
Once information has been anonymized, aggregated, transformed into benchmark data, incorporated into research datasets, or otherwise stripped of direct identifiers, it is no longer considered personal information and may be retained and used indefinitely.
17. SECURITY
Hyume implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system, transmission method, or storage method is completely secure. Users acknowledge these risks when using the Service.
18. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Service is intended only for individuals aged 13 and older. Hyume does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that information from a child under 13 has been collected, we may delete such information.
19. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Subject to applicable law, California residents may request:

- Correction of personal information;
- Deletion of personal information;
- Information regarding categories of information collected;

20. OTHER STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

21. INTERNATIONAL USERS
The Service is intended primarily for users located within the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to such processing and storage.
22. BUSINESS TRANSFERS
In connection with a merger, acquisition, investment transaction, reorganization, bankruptcy, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of the transaction. The successor entity may continue using information consistent with this Privacy Policy.
23. DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS
Because no consistent industry standard exists, Hyume does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
24. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Hyume may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise specified. Continued use of the Service following an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy.
